Just our U12s were in competitive action this week. While some of our teams took the opportunity to enjoy a break, others used the time for training after their matches were cancelled, joining other age groups for their sessions.

Mixed Touch Rugby
A smaller group than usual gave our two new players the opportunity to work through some skills and drills.
It was great to see the tactical work translate into some competitive set-piece practice, followed by an enjoyable game to finish the session.

Weekend

U14s & U13s Training

The U14s enjoyed a fun half-term training session this week, with the chance to practise a range of skills before putting them into action through some fun games alongside the U13s.
There was great energy and enthusiasm from all the boys, and it was lovely to see everyone enjoying their rugby!

U12s v Ilkeston (Home)

A solid home win for the U12s against an organised Ilkeston side.
There were some excellent individual performances, alongside impressive teamwork at the breakdown, showing how the hard work from recent training sessions is paying off.
With an away fixture coming up next week, this was a tenacious performance that demonstrated how much the group is growing and developing. A result and performance the team can build on as the season progresses.

U11s & U10s Training

The U10s started with some technique work at the ruck, where they are growing in confidence. They then joined the U11s for a mixed-age game, which the boys thoroughly enjoyed.

Both teams integrated brilliantly, making it an enjoyable session full of great club spirit.

U9s Training

Another excellent training session, with plenty of hard work and enthusiasm from the children. Their tackling skills continue to improve, and it is great to see their progress week on week.

U8s Training

The U8s enjoyed another great session in the October sunshine, with plenty of exciting and challenging agility games focusing on speed and changes of direction.
Another superb morning of rugby, with lots of energy, enthusiasm and fun!
