U9 Half Term Report

The story so far...

U9’s Half Term Report
OK Rugby fans so here we are at half term and having been through 4 weeks training we’ve now got 2 festivals and a triangular fixture under our belts. So how have the lads done?
W D L For Against
13 2 4 66 39

Notable Highlights
Kesteven Festival : 1st.
Coaville Festival : This was a non-competitive meeting and trophies were given out by some arcane system for various categories such as best defence. Neither team picked up any silver ware despite the Greens keeping 3 clean sheets and outscoring their opponents 16-3 on the day.
Triangular : This was against Loughborough and a tough tackling Mansfield squad on a foggy day.

So far they’ve all shown that they’re not just up for it but will also push themselves enough to get a personal best. The wingers have proven to be the critical linchpins for this new form of Rugby providing the attacking speed going forward and the ability to stop the opposition doing the same. Combining that with the solid running and tackling from the centres gives us some well placed optimism for the rest of the year to come. Ahead of the NLD qualifiers next months the coaches have good reason to be quietly confident that both teams will make it through.
The real bonus for me though is that all the lads and enjoying themselves and it’s infectious!!
Come on Nottingham!
