The lads had a slow start against Oakham but by the 2nd game they were up to full speed. From there on the juggernaut rolled all the way into the final. The tackling from the forward line was so ferocious that we didn’t concede a try throughout the competition and despite the rolling subs there were no weak spots for the opposition to exploit. Hammering blows from the forwards and major gains from the backs prised apart Kesteven A in the final that, whilst they defended very well, were unable to break into Nottingham’s half; frighteningly effective rucking and stripping stopped them dead leaving Nottingham 3-0 winners when the whistle went.

So for the 3rd year on the bounce this age group has won Kesteven Festival!
