U11 Win Landrover Cup

After the customary slow start against a reasonable Lutterworth team (2-0) they had a slow game against local rivals West Bridgford (2-2). This set up the final group match and show down over try difference.

So when the played Coalville they slipped it up a gear and blew them apart 6-0 to book a place in the semi's.

Much to my surprise we faced off against Oakham who we'd found, 3 weeks ago, to be unremarkable. And so it proved on this occasion too with a comfortable 2-0 win.

The final was a rotten affair, in all the years I've been watching kids rugby these were, without a shadow of doubt, the worst conditions ever. The rain/hail was coming in horizontally and heavily. Handling errors abounded and both teams had some so so chances but the vast majority of the game was fought out in between the 22's.

When the final whistle went it was still 0-0 but by virtue of a pre arranged tie breaking coin toss, Notts won. A cruel blow for Market Harborough who played magnificently, 0-0 was the right and fair reflection of a titanic battle.

In a vote reminiscent of communist, Russia Archie received 110% of the votes for MoM....I'm sure we'd have all voted again if allowed!!!

So there you have it, we're still buzzing and they're going to be paraded at Twickenham during half time for the Premiership final as the Leicester Tiger Land Rover Cup champions.

Come on Corsairs.
